I am a mum of 3 young boys currently living in Shanghai China. Prior to this we lived in a town in the north western province of Zambia.
Zambia gave us a remote lifestyle and the boys freedom to be children they would never have got back in the UK. Whereas our current life in Shanghai gives them an abundance opportunity via w city life. Both have its positives and both its negatives but we love the adventure and opportunity to travel that being an expat gives.
I hope you enjoy this blog where I tell the story of our life here!
Our Zambian story also also features on the Baby Globetrotters website π
Our entry into China during the corona virus outbreak is featured here: https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2020/03/24/820153471/health-checks-await-travelers-entering-china-as-it-tries-to-block-covid-19-rebou
As well as being an expat mum I am also an experienced Software Developer. If you would like help with your own wordpress blog or website please get in contact.
Hi!
We are considering moving to Solwezi – my husband is a teacher too…I stumbled across your blog while researching it all. Would I please be able to ask you some questions?! I know youβre not there anymore but Iβm sure you could give me some valuable info – Iβve already learned a lot from your blog.
Thanks in advance, Victoria

Hi there
We might be moving to Solwezi within the next 6 weeks. I am desperate to find out if we are allowed to keep our small dogs on the golf estate, as this is where we will be staying. Please help!!

Hi, lots of people have dogs on the golf estate. I don’t know the ins and outs of the rules but yes people own dogs π good luck with the move. You will find an amazing community in solwezi. I was very sad to leave it. If you want any info feel free to contact me via Facebook. I can share some contacts. π

Hey,
Do you guys still live in Zambia? I’m an expat settled in Buenos Aires at the moment, but I have lived in the Caribbean before that and will move to Spain in 6 months or so. Very curious about the DRC-Zambia-Tanzania-Rwanda-Burundi-Uganda region though, and from what I read here and on another site where you guest blogged, it sure seems worth checking out.
Please drop a line or two, either as a commentary or to my mail.
Kind regards!
