Sunrise to sunset

Whales!!! We are going to find whales! An early start meant another beautiful sunrise as we got our car to Mirrisa.

45 minutes later we pulled into the craziness of a port. Loud, smelly and bustling, luckily our driver knew our boat.

Just one small problem. It was cash only and we had thought we could pay on card 🫣. Rookie mistake not checking. After some negotiations our driver came to the rescue and paid for us and we would pay him back afterwards.

Soon we all seated and ready to go. Including “whale” BoyBlues teddy Shark (don’t ask).

In total the trip was 3 hours and we saw 3 whales (one blowing right next to the boat). But the highlight for the boys was the massive pod of dolphins that danced and played under their feet for about 45mins.

Obviously I am going to be hire by National Geographic because of my amazing photography skills 😂.

Watching wildlife is amazing but it does require patience. I was impressed with BoyBlues tactic was to sleep until he heard a shout as something was spotted.

BBboy tried the same tactic but caught me out trying to get a selfie with him 😂😂

After returning to the harbour and finding a very much required coffee, we headed back to our accommodation for the afternoon. As my monkeys played on the beach and the wild ones jumped around in the trees I caught up on my blog and workout.

In the early afternoon, the boys stomachs guided us to a beach front restaurant for dinner. The food was sublime, as were the hand poured gin and sodas that went straight to my head. As many of you know, I have always been a light weight but now having not really drank since New Year, just two gins was enough for me to be quite happy 🤦‍♀️

As we finished our food and the heated discussion over cards was reaching a tipping point; we decided to take a walk along the beach and watch the sunset. Which very quickly turned into a splash and play in the shallows.

Either as a result of the gin or my growing confidence (or perhaps both) I decided to join the boys in their impromptu splash 😂😂 They were having so much fun and I just thought f*@& it (sorry Nan) life is for living.

Just 6 months ago I couldn’t post a picture of me in a K2fit hoodie in the fitness community group and now …..

From sunrise to a spectacular sunset what an amazing day!
