Arriving late in Ouarzazate we had only two full days left in Morocco and the boys requests were; film sets, camel rides and swimming pools!
Ouarzazate dubbed Moroccos Hollywood has been the film set of many movies but the only thing on my big one’s mind was game of thrones. Unfortunately you can’t actually get to the game of thrones set but can see it from a distance. The studio tour was simple but well done and the boys enjoyed the many photo opportunities and the big one instantly recognised the gladiators set we could walk through!

Boy blue request was a camel ride… which I was a little dubious about after being harassed by a few camel ride operators and their very tired looking camels. Instead of trying to pick out ourselves we asked our hotel to organise a trip for us. And it was actually a wonderful experience! Seeing boy blues face when he opened the hotel front door to be treated by an impressively tall camel was well worth it!

Thankfully the camels appeared (I am no expert in camels 😂) well cared for and the guides were loverly. Even the older two got into the swing of it dressing up and laughing through out the ride. Who knew all you had to do to make teenage brothers enjoy each other company is sit them on the same camel for 90mins! Husband did join us but his camel had its own ideas on where to go… hence the lack of up close photos.
We had one more long drive and one more day. The last wish was a swimming pool… so at sunrise we drove up and over the Atlas Mountains, with the sun glow bringing the best views yet.

Our early departure also meant we could make the most of our last accommodation! We splashed out and got a cabin in a beautiful garden, and yes it had a pool!

Surrounded by peacocks and turtles the boys spent 11 hours in the pool! A great last day .. well that was until a very tired little one banged his head and needed some midnight stitches 🫣
He is totally fine and the hotel and hospital staff were amazing! We made our flight the next morning all be it a little tired after his late night antics.
