It popped again

All too soon it was time to move on again. Next stop is Fes but first a drive up the Morrcoon coast via a quick lunch stop at Oualidia.

Which turned out to be an incredibly pleasant little coastal town. Most importantly a place for the boys to splash and burn some energy before the next two long drives. In fact we pushed it as late as possible, opting to spend the time here and just using our next stop in Casablanca to sleep.

Traffic getting into Casablanca was a nightmare and not exactly fun for the husband that was driving but we did mange a quick pleasant meal in Casablanca before sleeping and setting of super early the next morning to push on to Fes.

After the chilled beach vibe and then the crazy traffic in Casablanca I was a little unsure if we would like Fes. Would it be another busy and full experience?

In fact it was a perfect balance between interesting and chilled. We spent 3 days exploring and getting lost a lot.

Fes sellers were much more chilled and approachable than expected. The highlights of our exploration including the stinky leather tanning, roof top dinners, markets and spectacular views.

The days were super hot but our small riad again offered us mid day refuge from the heat and opportunity to chill or workout.

After 3 days though we were once again craving nature, so restocked with a replacement football (the 3rd of the holiday) and fresh under cuts for the boys it was time push on to the middle Atlas Mountains.
