Watch out for Camel Poo

After leaving the craziness of Marrakesh and a car rental pick up that took almost 2 hours (don’t use Green motors Marrakesh) it was a relief to hit the open and deserted roads to Essaouira.

Essouria pretty much instantly won my hearts. The best was I can think to describe it would be an Arabic Cornish town.

It’s laid back vibe , white washed buildings, beaches and ocean breeze bringing memories of childhood holidays, while the sounds sights and smells of life in Morocco adding an Arabic twist.

We spent a very pleasant few days exploring the walled medina (used in Game of Thrones) and local by beaches.

The boys highlights were playing football with locals, watching camels, rock pooling and enjoying sunsets.

It was starting to feel like a holiday now!
