Do you sell honey?

We head to Zambean for WiFi and coffee. I need to pull myself together,  we need to make a new plan. Every one who has traveled a lot knows that it doesn’t always go to plan. In-fact some of best trips I’ve had have been off plan. But with  3 kids in tow its much harder to wing it. Winging it in the past has lead to swimming with dolphins in western Australia but also sleeping on train station floors in Pisa. The later is not something I recommend, the security guards seemed to find it amusing to gently kick you every hour!

Mozambique seemed unlikely,  time is precious and we will not stay in Lusaka for a week!

We still wanted a beach Christmas so researched accommodation on the coast of South Africa. The first few places we contacted were full, I suspected this would be the case for many. The south African coast is very popular at holiday time, a few of our friends were already there. A south African friend messaged me… “I think Nelspriut has a Mozambique Embassy, give them a call?”

A quick phone call confirmed we should be able to get the visa there and it will be cheaper and they only required a few documents and its done in a day.

The new plan formed, we decided carry on down to SA via Botswana and hopefully get the visas there?! We enjoyed the rest of our lunch which included a mince pie (a big deal in Zambia)!

We stock up on supplies hoping to be on the move for the next 4 days. In one shop we find Lego boy interrogating a poor security guard. “why is there a bear on your badge?” “Do you sell honey””do bears come in to your shop?”

We set of early the next day to Livingston.
