This entry is dedicated to my grandad who I know loved reading these blogs and hearing all about his great-grandchildren’s adventures. He instilled a need to travel into my mum who in turn pasted it to me! RIP Grandad John. X
I wake up to find the room deserted! Baby blue had been up a lot that night! He had wanted milk, milk and more milk. As Husband doesn’t have the right body parts to assist with the milk demands so he had obviously decided to let me sleep and taken the boys out to explore.
Unable to go find them as Husband had also locked me in, I packed up the room and got myself dressed. Not long after my smiling muddy boys appeared full of stories of their exploration. Tractors.. Mud… Horses… Mud… Smelly pigs… Mud… You get the idea. Baby blue kept taking my hand trying to drag me back to the ‘racta’. It always great to see how much they love the outdoors.
The joys of lively boys is that even after being treated to a ‘lie in’ it was still only 7:30 when we set off. We managed to miss the worst of Lusaka traffic and reached our friends house in time for breakfast.
Our plan was to get our Mozambique visa whilst in Lusaka but the embassy isn’t open till tomorrow. So we made the most of being in civilization (in comparison to Solwezi, it is civilization)
We had a slow relaxed breakfast at the Orange Tree. Enjoying exotic delights of proper bacon, soft cheese and very good coffee! There is also a very great play area for the kids to go mad in. Although Lego Boy spent most of his time climbing mango trees instead!

Next stop a toy shop! Something the boys get to do maybe twice a year. Back in the UK toy shopping was normal and taken for granted, that was not healthy! Now its a massive treat, they of course get very excited and want everything in the shop but seem to really appreciate whatever it is they have chosen. In fact the toy helicopter middle man choose that day is played with most days 2 months on.
Baby blue was particularly taken with this Christmas decorations as its the first we have seen this year.

Even though we don’t get to go shopping very often we were all bored of the mall within a couple hours so decided to head back to our friends to chill. We caught up on washing and played with the boys. Middle man was particularly impressed with our hosts boxing set.
Husband decided to give the older boys another treat and took them to the cinema… I believe he was hoping that the new Star Wars would be showing but it wasn’t. But Moana and popcorn was a hit anyway.
It had been a great day, living away from such luxury as nice cafes, shops and cinema does really make you appreciate them (although we had spent a fortune in one day).
Tomorrow was embassy day! We had had very mixed reports on the ease and cost of obtaining a visa from the Mozambique Embassy. I was not looking forward to it.
